For the last 31 years Danny Ward and the North Carolina Horseshoers Association has hosted the Eastern Farrier Conference held the first week in November.

Since 2006 Danny Ward has hosted the Old Dominion Blacksmith Association (www.odbsa.com) annual Blacksmithing Challenge that is held on the second Saturday in July.
